The imposing facade of the Villa blends in well with the colonial architecture along Calle 59, but there is little there to suggest the magnificent gardens that lie behind.

They are truly a breathtaking contrast to the sultry city streets; an oasis of tall palms, lush tropical shrubs, hidden fountains and tucked away courtyards.

It's amazing to relax here in surroundings as indulgent as many beach resorts, and yet be within walking distance of the heart of this historic and vibrant city.
