I stayed at this hotel in: November, 2005 My ratings for this hotel are: Excellent Rooms Excellent Service Excellent Value Excellent Cleanliness Excellen tDining Excellent Pool. I recommend this hotel for: couples and romantics, honeymooners, tourists. Would I stay at this location again: absolutely! My wife and I were overdue for a honeymoon, and were not able to get a cabana at La Cabanas Conchita (booked up) but the travel agent had just stayed at Suenos Tulum herself and recommended it to us. We were nervous because of all the recent hurricanes but it turned out that Tulum had only been grazed so we said OK with some trepidation. Well...

It really would have been hard to do better than this, to find a better place to stay in Tulum's beachfront hotel zone. The main 2 things with Suenos were the staff, who were just so friendly and gracious and attentive they really took care of your every need and made you feel welcome. The place is small (only 10 or so cabanas) and every cabana has its own porch and beuatiful room so the manager had time and energy to deal with every guest on a very personal level.

The site was immaculate, sand swept on the beach and grounds every day, a wonderful kitchen with dinner prepared (you had to request a bit in advance) that was just delicious and romantic - it was all of the little touches that made this place so great - maid service every morning, margaritas on the beach, candles lit everywhere at night, beautiful beautiful plam trees and a small pool, etc etc...

The whole stay was just like a beautiful dream, i never wanted it to end, i would recommend Suenos in a heartbeat! To anyone, but especially honeymooners! You can't go wrong!!

We enjoyed Suenos Tulum. The beach is wonderful and uncrowded, and the hotel is nicely designed and well-maintained. The owners were friendly and very helpful without being intrusive. The hotel restaurant is quite limited (but provides good strong coffee and a fruit plate with yogurt and slivered granola for breakfast); the food next door at Amansala is fantastic.

First and foremost the owners, and manager are wonderful people! Just warm and cheerful always. I have traveled thru Tulum before, other parts of Mexico and frequent Costa Rica often. I was, as well as the other guest whom we became very close to, highly disappointed in the entire food service. Although the staff did their best it was apparent they were not trained at serving food. The food portions were small, and there were very few choices although they tried very hard to accomodate us. As a frequent traveler, all of these comments are relative to price. When one is paying top dollar there are certain expectations than if you are paying economy dollars. I feel very misrepresented by your company in regards to this. I wrote several emails concerned about the price stating that it was the most expensive hotel I found, your company said that it was basically the same as most the others. I had a chance to check out every hotel on the beach and found my assesment to be correct. I will say that suenos was one of the nicest places, but not enough to justify the price. I felt and the other families there did as well, that it was not great buisness to charge 60.00 a day for a child when it does not include food. There was one or two hotels that did charge for kids but the age limit was older and they were less expensive. The beach in Tulum is full of litter, and the hotel has nothing to it, if your looking for repeat customers the only ones you will find for this kind of service and prices are people who are uneducated about traveling or first timers like us who are willing to take a risk. One last thing, the rooms that you call Jr. suites are not suites at all, the are small standard rooms, again your company was misleading. It is a shame that this hotel is poorley representing by you guys, they are incredible people, who if managed correctly, will flourish. Please feel free to call if you have questions and my hope is that you really are interested in the feedback, so the next family that plans a trip to Suenos is getting there money's worth.
