A thousand twinkling lights around the bay of Tangolunda are the backdrop for romantic dinners at the Quinta Real.

The main restaurant, situated at the highest point of the resort, has an indoor air-conditioned dining room with large windows overlooking the bay. Further tables are set on the terraces outside and around the dining room, boasting fine views and cool evening breezes.

A variety of dishes are offered, including international selections and some Oaxacan specialties, and a good wine list is available.

Dinner is served between 6:00pm and 11:00pm and is often accompanied by live music, including some excellent Mariachi bands. A romantic setting and a memorable occasion is guaranteed.

In the morning, enticing ocean views distract guests from their breakfasts. Continental, American or a la carte selections are offered, including a wonderful list of the most popular breakfast dishes in each Quinta Real location across the continent.

We loved the Guatamalan Omelette Chapin, including tomato, onion, avocado and coriander. These are accompanied by pastries, fresh fruit and juices plus some great coffee (tea and hot chocolate are also available).
