| We would highly recommend the Posada Margherita to anyone. The owners are so personable and fun! The food was AMAZING best on the beach. The rooms were spacious... floors could have used a good mopping but other than than really wonderful. We would definitely stay here again!

| Overall Posada Margherita was fabulous - setting, food, service, Alessandro was great! I would just have one issue - I thought the breakfast would be included and the bill for the food came out very high. Otherwise great.

| Overall our stay was very good. The food and service were outstanding - the owners are excellent hosts, and even better cooks. What was disappointing was the room itself (number 8), which had two annoying features: mosquitoes and nowhere to sit down. Lacking a mosquito net, we were absolutely feasted upon on a nightly basis until we purchased our own net and rigged it over the bed. My huband was miserable the whole time we were in Tulum due to the countless bites on his hands and arms (as well as elsewhere). Our hosts seemed shocked to learn that we were bitten - apparently this is not the 'season.' They did, however, respond to our plea and use some sort of organic treatment on the room, but nets would have been far more effective. Surprisingly, there was nowhere to sit in the room. A massive bathtub (wannabe hot tub?) took up a fair amount of space, but wasn't really practical given the limited hot water - and of course is not much good for reading in. The room had a spacious balcony outside the door, but this was very exposed, so provided no shelter from the elements (we had a fair amount of rain, even more strong wind - and sometimes even a break from the sun is necessary). So apart from the beds, there was no where to sit and read, write postcards, chat over a drink, etc - and this was really rather annoying, especially as the beach was very windy most of the time we were there. I suggest the big tub be replaced with a sitting area - two chairs and a table - which would greatly improve the accommodation, and certainly make the room a better value. We will almost certainly return to Posada Margherita some day, but will opt for one of the cheaper rooms on the ground floor, which all have covered porches, and unless mosquito nets have been installed, we will be sure to bring our own.
