Hotel Playa Maya is located around the middle of Playa del Carmen's long beach, within sight of the Cozumel ferry dock.

There are a few rocks immediately in front of the hotel, but just a few paces down the beach are wider stretches of sand where you can easily wade into the turquoise sea.

The hotel provides sun loungers, beach chairs and towels for guests' use free of charge.
