Dining at the Casa de Sierra Nevada is a memorable experience. Its main restaurant is widely acclaimed as one of the finest in Mexico and features an enticing selection of contemporary dishes with a Mexican flavor.

Choose the indoor restaurant for an elegant and formal occasion - jackets are required and reservations essential. Fine china and beautiful table linen adorn the tables in the main room and service is exemplary. We particularly liked the round table in a small room of its own, just off the courtyard area. It seats eight and, with its subtle lighting, fireplace and paintings, would be delightful for a family celebration or other special occasion.

The courtyard restaurant is colorful and airy, perfect for breakfast or a casual lunch. Rich tapestries and terracotta masks adorn the ochre walls, and the contrast between the fine furnishings and rough stone doorways makes this one of the most charming restaurant settings that we've encountered.

The food in either restaurant is, of course, sublime. During our last visit an American guest bemoaned the fact that she'd spent years perfecting her favorite Caesar Salad recipe, yet the chef had surpassed it in just five minutes while preparing the dish at her table.

Opening hours are 8am to 11am for breakfast, 1pm to 4pm for lunch and 7pm to 11pm for dinner. Reservations are required for lunch and dinner.
